St. John’s Health Services has established a care home for children who are infected or affected with HIV/AIDS. The home incorporates a unique model based on the Residential School concept. Here we are able to provide quality education, medical care, and psycho-social support to children affected.
St. John’s Care Home is being evolved as an alternative model for the comprehensive care of children. What we hope to achieve is to equip children with a standardized education and vocational skills in demand, ensure social security through a healthy and safe environment, and to increase the self-esteem and self-reliance of the children through right attitude, skills and knowledge. Thus we hope to facilitate reintegration of these children back into the community.
